Attachment and Complex Trauma Therapy focuses on understanding how past experiences—often rooted in our earliest relationships—can shape our emotional well-being, sense of safety, and ability to form healthy connections. Complex trauma may result from prolonged or repeated exposure to distressing events such as childhood neglect, abuse, or unstable environments, leading to feelings of shame, self-doubt, and persistent fear.
My Approach to Complex Trauma Therapy
At Better Life Psychotherapy, we approach Attachment Injuries or Complex Trauma with the belief that the therapist is initially an attachment surrogate through which the client can learn to form a healthy attachment with significant others. Our aim is to help you:
